Last month we highlighted the agencies and organizations that govern the many, many codes for the HVAC and electrical industries, rules and regulations that promote safe installation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning units and electrical systems. Cooper Mechanical Services invests in continuing education and certifications for industry standards and best practices for the safety of you, our professionals, and your home or workplace.

For the electrical side of things, one organization that works to interpret existing code, promote safe work, and train professionals in the industry is the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, or IAEI. The IAEI trains and certifies more than 6,000 individuals in the U.S. and Canada each year, and Cooper Mechanical Services is proud to display their seal at our workplace and on our website.

One thing that being an IAEI members offers is a direct connection to leading voices in the industry. Membership means we stay current on topics and issues affecting electrical installation and code. The IAEI magazine keeps us informed about technological advancements that improve the safety of products and electrical installation. For example, IAEI may research data from the 1,651 injuries related to Code 4063 (Panelboards, Circuit Breakers, GFCIs or Fuses) to look for common patterns that may be prevented by new recommendations or products. Staying abreast of the latest trends and practices mean you receive professional work that is up-to-date and safe.

Cooper Mechanical Services is connected to leading voices like the International Association of Electrical Inspectors to help make your home comfortable, efficient and, most importantly, safe. We know the required codes and standards for electrical systems in South Carolina and rely on the best sources of industry information and training in our practice.

If you are in the Conway or Myrtle Beach area and have a question or issue with your electrical, heating, air conditioning, ventilation or refrigeration, don’t hesitate to call Cooper!
